TERMS OF SERVICE
By hiring Moby Lube to service your vehicle, you agree to the following terms set forth here:
MOBY LUBE LIMITED WARRANTY TERMS
The parts and services described below are warranted by Moby Lube, (“Moby Lube”)
according to the applicable limited warranty terms below:
LIMITED WARRANTY ON FLUID EXCHANGE AND FILTER SERVICES
Your oil change, transmission fluid exchange, cooling system fluid exchange, power steering fluid exchange, brake fluid exchange, fuel system cleaning and/or filter service is warranted by the Moby Lube Unit that originally performed the service for one (1) month or 1,000 miles from the date of installation or performance, whichever comes first. This warranty does not cover fluid top-off or refill courtesy services. If, during this warranty period and under normal use and service, the warranted service(s) is found to have been improperly performed, Moby Lube shall adjust and/or re-perform the warranted service(s), as applicable, at no charge to you.
LIMITED WARRANTY FOR BRAKE SERVICE
Brake shoes or disc pads will be free from defects in workmanship and material and will be replaced if they wear out under normal non-commercial passenger car or light truck use within one (1) year or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the date of the original brake service; and The labor to install replacement brake shoes or disc pads will be done at no charge for three (3) months or 4,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the date of the original brake service. This brake warranty excludes all costs of additional brake parts, such as drums, rotors or calipers, and labor to restore the brake system to a safe and proper condition. In the event that such costs are required and are not authorized by you, Moby Lube will provide you a replacement set of uninstalled non-warranted brake shoes or disc pads.
LIMITED WARRANTY FOR SERVICE OR PARTS (NOT COVERED BY SPECIFIC WARRANTY ON THIS PAGE)
Any customer service parts which are not covered under other specific warranty provisions on this page are warranted for ninety (90) days or 4,000 miles, whichever comes first. In the event that there is a defect in workmanship or material, Moby Lube will repair or replace at its option without charge.
GENERAL PROVISIONS (APPLICABLE TO ALL WARRANTIES)
This warranty covers only the original purchases and is not transferrable. There are no other warranties or guarantees, on these or any other parts and services issued by Moby Lube. They do not apply to parts that are not purchased from and/or installed by Moby Lube. To the fullest extent allowed by law, the limited warranties and remedies set forth herein are exclusive and in lieu of all other express warranties, guarantees or conditions. These limited warranties and guarantees give you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from State to State.
RESTRICTIONS ON ALL LIMITED WARRANTIES:
The limited warranties and guarantees described herein (i) do not apply to parts or service used for commercial, racing or off-road use; (ii) will be void if the parts are modified, altered, abused or damaged by accident, negligence or misuse; (iii) exclude the transportation expense of a defective product or part, compensation for inconvenience or loss of use while the service, product or part is being replaced, the cost of a rental car, reimbursement for time off work, loss of income, towing charges, telephone calls, legal fees and costs or other consequential damages; and (iv) do not include a refund. This warranty does not cover defects, damages or deterioration due to normal use, wear and tear or exposure. This warranty does not include a refund.
HOW TO GET WARRANTY SERVICE UNDER MOBY LUBE LIMITED WARRANTIES:
To claim service under the terms of the applicable Limited Warranty, you must first, within the applicable warranty period, contact Moby Lube that originally performed the work to give them the opportunity to repair or designate an approved repair facility. In addition, you must present your sales receipt and/or the work order at the time your claim is presented before the commencement of any work. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS CLAIM PROCEDURE WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY.
